The Irvine, California based LPA Inc., an architectural firm, has entered the Dallas-Fort Worth market with plans for a 50-person office.

The leader of LPA Inc.’s new Dallas office, Craig Drone, explained to the Dallas Business Journal that the company is in the process of hiring in order to grow its local presence. Drone and his team are scouring Dallas for an Uptown office or somewhere near the Dallas North Tollway that will accommodate a minimum of 50 employees with room for expansion. Drone is planning an integrated approach to design that will encourage everyone’s input from day one.

The North Texas metro area is among the fastest growing in the U.S. Until the ideal property is located and renovated for the new Dallas office, Drone and his modest-sized team are working inside WeWork in Uptown Dallas on McKinney Ave. The new office will be the second in the state and the sixth in the U.S., where digital business cards bearing the LPA Inc. name will be utilized.

According to Mark Oppelt, the principal of the San Antonio office of LPA, revenue of that office has almost doubled over the previous three years, which made expansion of the Texas market a logical choice. The addition of the Dallas office will put the company in a position to grow its design markets in two of the Lone Star state’s largest regions.
