Walk to raise funds for foster children

The Fun Walk and Dog Parade is taking place this June in South Brunswick, and is a fundraising event for the Foster and Adoptive Family Services Foundation.

Registration fees for the walk are $10 for adults and free for dogs. Children under the age of 10 can also take part free of charge. All participants will receive a free event T-shirt and the first 50 dogs will receive tags. Walkers also collect pledges, and the person who raises the most money will receive an award.

The day will include a pet parade, musical entertainment, snacks, and a basket raffle. There is set to be a costume contest in categories of small, medium, and large, and prizes will be awarded. Several pet rescue organizations will be offering pets for adoption, and a vendor fair where local businesses will sell pet-related merchandise.

Space is still available for vendors for $25, or with the donation of a gift basket. Vendors must bring their own tables and chairs.

It is likely people from all over, including from nearby Cranbury, will want to participate in this event. To help spread the word, local print companies may be asked to provide advertising materials like flyers and posters.

The Fun Walk and Dog Parade will be held at Beech Woods Park in South Brunswick on June 7 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Call 609-977-4880 to find out the latest information.
