Holidays ahead at local inn

Cranbury locals looking for a way to celebrate the holidays away from home may want to consider making a reservation at the Cranbury Inn, where special nights are planned for both Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

The Inn had been decorated with a colonial ambiance meant to inspire a Norma Rockwell-type setting. On Christmas Eve, the Inn will be serving a Special Christmas Eve Dinner with appetizers, a choice of homemade soups, and its specialty Cranbury Inn crab cake. Other entrees will include prime rib and turkey. A children’s menu will also be available, making the evening a family-oriented event.

On New Year’s Eve, the Inn will be hosting both a special dinner and party. Dinner guests will have a choice of jumbo shrimp, lobster tail, filet mignon, or swordfish. For those that want to join the party, the same dinner options will be available, but there will also be party hats, dancing to music courtesy of a DJ, and celebrating as the ball drops at midnight.

The Christmas Eve dinner will be served on Thursday, December 24, starting at 4:00 pm. Prices will vary depending on meal choices.
The New Year’s Eve dinner and party will of course be on Thursday, December 31, starting at 4:00 pm and running until after midnight. Dinner will cost $50 per person, and the party will cost $100 per person. Both events will be held at the Cranbury Inn, 21 South Main Street, Cranbury. Visitors may want to make sure their digital business cards are up to date, as they may want to exchange business information with others.
