The City of Coral Springs will be hosting four events for its 28th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in mid-January.

Festivities will begin with an award ceremony, literary exhibits, and a display of student art. That will be followed by a musical drama called ‘A View from the Mountain Top’. The performance will be a reflection on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s teachings and his life.

The next morning, there will be a business luncheon with Dr. William Pickard as the keynote speaker. Dr. Pickard is the author of ‘Millionaire Moves’ and a philanthropist. New for the first time, the MLK Monument Award will be presented. The recipient may want to get pictures for possible future poster printing or for personalized stationery.

Coral Springs middle and high school students are invited to attend Diversity & Leadership Day. There will be entertainment, free T-shirts, interactive activities, snack, and lunch.

The awards ceremony, art exhibits and musical drama will be January 11 at the Coral springs Museum of Art, 2855 Coral Springs Drive, Suite A, Coral Springs. The awards ceremony, exhibits and student art will be at 5:00pm with the musical drama beginning at 7:00pm.

The business luncheon will be on Friday, January 12 at the Coral Springs Marriott, 11775 Heron Bay Blvd. and will begin at 11:30am.
