April 11, 2018 by

The City of Coral Springs and the Coral Springs Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee will be presenting Worldfest 2018 in a few days. This free event will showcase the cultural diversity of our city through food, entertainment and amusements. Over 6,000 people are expected to attend.

Guests will be greeted by members of local cultural clubs and organizations who will be wearing traditional garb from the countries they represent.

Free cooking demonstrations put on by people from many world cultures will include samplings, and recipes will be distributed to guests. International food will be sold by local multicultural clubs and organizations.

Kids World will feature arts and craft projects that children in other cultures either enjoy today or in the past, as well as a petting zoo, pony rides, and inflatables. Two puppet shows are scheduled. Many of these activities, as well as the food, will have small fees.

A Marianero and Coballo de Paso Peruano dancer will be one of the many cultural performances presented on the Showmobile stage, and on a ground platform at Culture Village.

Local businesses will be there to introduce themselves to the public and distribute promotional products, samples, coupons and sell their merchandise. Nonprofit associations will have tent space to distribute information about their missions, programs and services.

World Fest 2018 will be from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Sportsplex, 2575 Sportsplex Drive.
