City of Coral Springs presents worldly event

April 1, 2017 by

The City of Coral Springs is all set to host its annual outdoor Worldfest in a few days.

Worldfest will celebrate the diverse cultures in our community. This promises to be a day of world culture displays and demonstrations, entertainment, food, and of course fun.

Members of the Multi-Cultural Committee will hold International cooking demonstrations. Recipes will be available, and the cooks will be handing out the food items. There will be a cultural village and plenty to see at Kids’ World, including children’s art and crafts. For nominal fees, kids can go on carnival rides, see the petting zoo, and ride on a pony. Jumping around in the inflatables will be free, as will the puppet show.

Music will be from many countries around the globe, and there may still be time for volunteers to sign up to perform on the stage. Fans of these groups and international stars may want to check and see if they have promotional products such as T-shirts and hats with them.

Vendors will be selling international merchandise and food items. Guests may enjoy collecting international promotional drinkware from the more unique vendors.

The event will be Sunday, April 2 from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the Sportsplex, 2575 Sportsplex Dive here in Coral Springs. Although admission will be free, there will be a $3 parking fee.
