Huge car and bike show set to roll into Clovis

July 10, 2017 by

The warm days of summer will be getting even hotter when a fundraiser to help children in need rolls into Clovis.

The Clovis Elks Lodge will be hosting its Hot August Daze Car and Bike Show, and everyone is invited to come and get in on the vehicle-themed fun.

It will kick off with the Clovis Cruise, which will be followed by a dinner and sock hop dance. The next day will be dedicated to the car and bike exhibition, which will feature a huge assortment of antique and vintage vehicles, as well as those that are stock or have been customized by their owners.

The monies raised during this celebration of cars, trucks and motorcycles will be used to help fund the Elks Purple Pig Project, which serves as a funding source to provide equipment, therapy, and other services for children in the state of California who have a disability.

The dinner and dance will take place on August 18 in the Clovis Elks Lodge, which is located at 535 Woodworth Avenue. The car and bike show will take place the next day. There is no admission fee for spectators, but those who plan on showing their vehicle will need to register, and when they do so, they will receive branded swag and other promotional products. A local printer can be called upon to produce an assortment of T-shirts and other ad specialties that can be used during a public event such as this.

The Visit Clovis website includes more information about the weekend’s activities, as well as an opportunity to sign up to participate.
