Cedar Park to host fundraising fun run

October 16, 2016 by

A fun run has been organized for Cedar Park that will raise funds to help students at BYU (Brigham Young University) pay for their postsecondary education.

The first ever Cougar 5k Run and Kids Fun Run will be held in Bushy Creek Lake Park. Open to both children and adults, it is being hosted by the Austin chapter of BYU Alumni. Along with the run, there will be a variety of activities, and each person who registers early will receive a souvenir T-shirt for the day, while quantities last.

The registration fees for those from ages 2-11 are $10, while for those 12 and up, they are $20.. A family of four can sign up for a reduced rate of $40, and there is no charge for children aged two and under. All are welcome to take part.

The event will take place at 3300 Bushy Creek Road on November 12, starting at 8:30 am. Those who register before October 28 will receive a free T-shirt to thank them for their support. A printing company can provide these, along with any other printed materials such as banners, race bibs, signup sheets, and more than can help to make an event like this a success.

Further details and an opportunity to register can be found on the event’s webpage.
