Cedar Park calls out to beer lovers

May 16, 2017 by

Cedar Park folks who enjoy a beer or two have been issued an invitation to hop aboard one of The Austin Steam Train’s rail cars and enjoy an event that will combine locally produced beer paired with food prepared by Cedar Park chefs.

The Beer Train will showcase beers and other products of the Red Horn Coffee House as members of its staff guide the riders through a tasting session. This will be followed by a meal prepared using sustainably sourced ingredients, many of which come from Texas. Participants can enjoy the relaxing three-hour round trip while they chat with friends old and new, take in the scenery and try out the different brews.

The train will depart from The Austin Steam Train’s station, which is located at 401 E. Whitestone Boulevard in Cedar Park. It is open to those ages 21 and over, and each ticket entitles the holder to the three-course meal, as well as three servings of beer. It will depart at 7:00 pm, and return at 10:00 pm. Custom drinkware that has been decorated with a logo or other branding for a function such as this can be sourced form a local printing company.

June 17 has been selected as the date for this locally themed event, and tickets can be purchased in advance. Further information can be found by visiting the Cedar Park Fun website.
