Arts and crafts festival coming to Cary

August 1, 2016 by

Once again, the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival will be celebrated in the city of Cary, on the Town Hall campus.

In honor of its 40th anniversary, the festival will be extended to a two-day celebration.

The works of more than 300 talented artists will be on display. The arts and crafts professionals, who come from 16 different states, will exhibit their works which comprise many different genres, such as fine art, painting, jewelry, wood, garden art, craft soap, sculpture, mixed media, clay, fiber wear, photography, folk art, craft leather, and blown glass.

The artists’ works are likely to draw the attention of the crowds, and the artists might benefit from using business cards to further promote their crafts. There will also be plenty of food to enjoy, since more than 25 different food vendors and trucks will be conveniently located, with picnic tables and restrooms as well.

Finally, there will be live music performed on five different stages. The music will be a mixture of jazz, bluegrass, reggae, rock, and funk. There will even be activities for children in the Lazy Daze Kids World, so the entire family is invited to help celebrate this event.

The festivities will begin on Saturday, August 27, at 9:00 am and will continue until 6:00 pm. On Sunday, August 28, the festival hours will be from 12:30 pm until 5:00 pm.
