Carlsbad golfers to swing for support of local kids

A local not-for-profit group that provides low-income families with refurbished computers will be holding a fundraiser in Carlsbad, and everyone is invited to bring their clubs and join in the fun.

This will be Computers 2 Kids of San Diego’s second annual charity golf tournament, and the organizers have planned lots of excitement for the day. Those who are interested are welcome to bring along their friends, families, co-workers, bosses, and anyone else who enjoys golf or who just wants to help area families while they enjoy a day out in the fresh air and sunshine.

The participants will be able to enjoy 18 holes of golf, and there will be special prizes awarded to those who show the best putting, hit the longest drive, and achieve the closest to the hole. Along with this, there will be a raffle for an assortment of prizes donated by area event sponsors.

A box-style lunch will be provided, and once the tournament has drawn to a close, the players can socialize and talk about their game during the Taco Bar reception. Each participant will receive the use of a golf cart, range balls, lunch, a gift bag, appetizers, and raffle entries. A printer can supply local companies with an assortment of branded promotional products that can be donated to use in a raffle such as this.

This day of fun out on the greens has been planned for October 20 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. More information can be found on the Association of IT Professionals of San Diego’s website.
