Carlsbad golfers asked to take a swing against childhood cancer

April 3, 2018 by

Alex’s Lemonade Stand is an organization that raises funds for research into childhood cancer and support for those living with it, and Carlsbad golfers can enjoy a day out on the links while they help this group to meet its goals.

Northwestern Mutual will once again be holding its ‘Fore the Kids’ golf tournament, and the entry fee entitles each player to receive the use of a golf cart as well as range balls. It will also cover the cost of green fees, bagels, coffee, and a lunch, as well as entries into the longest drive and closest to the pin competitions. Promotional products for this type of occasion can be both designed and crafted by a local printer.

All of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the cause, and to help raise as much as possible, a raffle has been planned. Northwest Mutual will match the proceeds, so for every dollar raised, it will donate one itself.

The event will be taking to the green on May 17. All local golfers are encouraged by the organizers to come out and support the cause.

The function has been planned for Omni La Costa Resort and Spa, and the sign-in begins at 7:00 am. Tee off is at 8:00 am, and the raffle and luncheon will be held from 10:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The entry fee starts at $225 each.
