Christkindl Market coming to Canton

November 2, 2017 by

The upcoming Christkindl Market will be the 46th time this holiday celebration has taken place in Canton.

The Canton Fine Arts Associates are sponsoring the market. The event is juried, meaning that entries are judged before they are allowed to be part of the market.

The event is a great way for people to purchase unique holiday gifts from over 100 artisans who will be attending. Their wares include holiday décor, photographs, handmade textiles, glassware, ceramics, and jewelry. In addition, two raffles and a silent auction are planned, as is a book sale. Those with a sweet tooth will find homemade candies to delight them at the Sweet Shoppe.

This year, two popular personalities will join in the fun. Comedienne Robin Swoboda will entertain attendees with her humor, and meteorologist Andre Bernier will talk about his book series ‘Christmas in Pilaf’. These two events are included in the general admission price.

Canton’s 46th Christkindl Market is scheduled for November 10-12, at the Canton Cultural Center for the Arts, on Market Avenue North. Tickets are $7 and children under 12 are free, and so is parking. Swoboda appears November 10 at 2:00 pm, and Bernier will speak on November 11 at 2:00 pm.

Festivals like this can benefit if organizers create flyers showing a map of the vendors, and a schedule of events.
