Canton to have Blaze Pizza

Blaze Pizza is coming to Canton. The restaurant chain, which boasts NBA star LeBron James as a major investor (he owns approximately 10% of the Blaze brand) as its spokesman, will open some time in the spring of 2017, near Belden Village Mall in Canton.

The Canton store will be the first Blaze Pizza in Northeast Ohio, though the chain is growing rapidly throughout the nation. A second area store, at Creekside Commons in Mentor, is also in the planning stages.

Blaze Pizza stores feature the ‘assembly line’ model used by similar restaurants like Chipotle. Patrons create their own individual pizzas by going down a line and picking out the ingredients they want on their pie. The pizza is then baked for three minutes in a large stone-hearth oven. Patrons may opt for one of the signature pizzas such as the ‘Green Stripe’, which has pesto drizzled over grilled chicken.

James said he joined Blaze because he believes in the company and its vision, how it manages business, and how its pizzas are made. He said he was excited about the concept and wanted to be part of the effort.

Companies like this can benefit if managers work with a flyer printing company, which can create a handout for distribution near the store at its opening. If coupons are included, they may attract people who are unfamiliar with the brand to try the new store.
