Something in stone for kids and adults this weekend

April 16, 2013 by

Young girls in the area could see their fantasies come true at Griffith Park’s ‘A Faery Hunt’ this weekend. Kids will enjoy hunting through the forest with faery folk as they take part in a real life adventure.

The performance begins at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 20, and will be followed by the start of the Faery Queen’s royal birthday party at noon, including unicorn readings and enchanting dancing.

Tickets are $15 per person for the morning session and $10 for the party. The Dell Fern entrance is located at 2333 Fern Dell Place, Los Angeles, just a hop and a skip (20 minutes) outside of Woodland Hills.

Taking place on the same day, the adults might find Gov 2.0 LA 2013 a more interesting proposition. This seminar brings together politics and technology in one room.

There are three major themes of the conference: how business is working inside government and how government is being forced to restructure; the use of social media by the government during a crisis such as a natural disaster on a large scale; and how public private partnerships and crowd sourcing are rearranging the landscape.

This will be an important discussion for anyone who is connected with the field of politics or technology. Many different types of presentations can be custom-made for clients at their local print company. From graphs to printouts, each one can be tailor-made for the occasion.
