Home and garden show comes to Sacramento

February 26, 2013 by

The 31st annual show will feature three exhibit halls and will be held over this weekend.

This show is a great idea for home renovators and those who need a jumpstart on ideas for redecorating. Landscaping and remodeling ideas will be aplenty as will ideas for a new patio area or outdoor kitchen for the backyard.

The show’s marketplace will offer plenty of quality products and friendly advice by professionals in the field. The marketplace will be open from noon Friday to 5:00 pm on Sunday. One of the big topics of conversation and information will be energy efficiency with solar, new windows, and insulation ideas. “Show only” specials will be offered during the show, so guests should come prepared with measurements to get accurate quotes.

Expert speakers include ‘Lighting Geek’ Tommy Herren, who has appeared on ‘Turf Wars’ and ‘Yard Crashers’. ‘Farmer’ Fred Hoffman, a radio garden show personality on KFBK/KSTE will be available from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday to answer plant related questions.

The show runs from this Friday, March 1, to Sunday, March 3, at the CalExpo, 1600 Exposition Boulevard, Sacramento – just minutes from West Sacramento.

Admission is $7 but guests are asked to bring a can of food for the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services and admission is only $6.

Flyer printing and postcard printing are two great ways to alert residents and surrounding communities about large community events like this.
