Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail to open in Studio City

A combination high-end pet retail and rescue store is scheduled to open its doors to the public on December 8.

Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail, located at 12238 Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, is a pet store dedicated to the shelter and adoption of animals in the Studio City and surrounding area. The store’s mission, going by its Facebook page, is to forge a more direct link between retailers and rescuers.

The store will celebrate on December 8 with a green carpet grand opening that will benefit the Poopie Foundation – a 501c3 dog rescue organization founded by Jeff Spinner and Melissa Bacelar in 2009. Together with Rachel Kennedy, who is also a member of the foundation, Melissa and Jeff are opening Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail. The grand opening ceremony will be from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm and will feature a silent auction, celebrities who have adopted a pet through the foundation, and a chance for those in attendance to adopt a pet of their own.

Businesses typically celebrate grand openings with banner printing to welcome customers or make an announcement about the opening of the location. In addition, businesses such as Lucky Puppy, that are owned by members of a non-profit organization and dedicated to a specific cause, may use brochure printers to provide attendees with additional information about the organization and the cause.

More information about Lucky Puppy Rescue and Retail can be found on its Facebook page.
