Kaiser Permanente bringing new medical offices to the San Fernando Valley

Kaiser Permanente, a nonprofit healthcare provider, is making plans to bring medical offices and accessible health care to the San Fernando Valley region. Plans for the location in North Hollywood, just north of Studio City, were first announced at the 50th anniversary celebration of Kaiser’s medical center in Panorama City last month.

Concurrently, ground was broken at the celebration in anticipation of a new specialty building in Panorama City. During the celebration, Kaiser’s executive director, Dennis Burton, stated:

“The North Hollywood offices and the specialty building here in Panorama City reaffirm Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to making health care convenient and accessible in the San Fernando Valley.”

The company signed a lease in January of this year that covered the two top floors of a nine-story building located at 5250 Lankershim Boulevard. The medical center will encompass 31,760 square feet of space and will be used for family care practices, as well as providing a number of other healthcare services.

Construction is expected to be complete by the summer of 2013 and it will house more than 60 employees, including at least 18 physicians. In addition to the family medical care, the center plans an obstetrics/gerontology division, a pediatric division, and an internal medicines division. Also included in the plans for the center are a pharmacy and a radiology lab.

Expanding businesses in the Studio City and surrounding San Fernando Valley area help bring extra business to other local companies. Typically, these expanding businesses will find they need business card printing, stationery printing, and other printing services to establish themselves in the area. Studio City and surrounding print companies are able to provide these services.
