Santa Rosa to serve up early June event

The 30th Novato Festival of Art, Wine and Music is coming up fast in Novato, California, based in the Santa Rosa region. The event is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, and thousands of people are expected to attend.

The festival will feature over 200 booths with arts and crafts, two stages of live music, a wine garden, food vendors, and a children’s area. A family-friendly event, organizers are encouraging everyone to attend.

Locally brewed beer supplied by Moylan’s Brewery, along with the offerings of a selection of wineries, will be available and commemorative glasses will be featured. Food vendors will offer the traditional festival faire such as BBQ, corn dogs, crab-cakes, gyros, calamari, and teriyaki chicken. Tacos will be served by Whole Foods.

Vendors will offer arts and crafts from across the nation. Fine art, jewelry, pottery, and home décor will be some of the items featured. Banner printing is a common task for local print companies when vendors are needed. A banner is often placed on the back wall of the booth or front of the table to depict the vendor’s name and specialty.

Children are bound to have a lot of fun with the Water-Ballerz, consisting of giant balls to be rolled in. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy mini race cars, a giant slide, bounce houses art projects and a puppet show.

The festival is presented by the Novato Chamber, is free to attend, and will take place on June 8 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Grant Avenue location.
