San Mateo County Fair begins June 9 continuing through June 17. Each day of this event will be packed with activities including entertainment, concerts, contests, children’s fun, and vendor exhibits. Food outlets and picnic packages will also be available. Picnic packages are designed for groups of people wishing to dine together in a designated area. Several options based on number of people in the group and preferences are available to book in advance.

Originally known as “The Little Flower Show” in 1926, this event took place at various schools throughout the San Mateo area. In 1935 it became the San Mateo County Fair and was moved to the current location by the Meadows Racetrack.

Entertainment is planned throughout the event beginning with a concert featuring The Pointer Sisters. Two outdoor stages are on site and will be used to showcase local talent each day. A carnival provided by Butler Amusement brings fun rides along with their “Giant Wheel” ride, similar to a ferris wheel.

An extensive “Food Fair” will be part of the San Mateo County Fair with BBQ’s, hamburgers, ice cream, hot dogs, funnel cakes and many more taste tempting attractions.

2012 sponsor line-up includes Pepsi, Bud Light, TGI Fridays, SamTrans, Sleep Train, Goldrush Getaways, Swim Fitness, xfinity, and Sponsorships and vendor exhibit space are available.

Printing companies will be providing the brochure printing and banner printing required to promote merchandise and display the San Mateo County Fair.
