Printing Industries Association of San Diego presents Small Printers Conference

Targeting small print companies with 25 or fewer employees, PIA/San Diego and PIA/Southern California are hosting a conference entitled “Managing Your Business Successfully” on May 19, 2012 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Pechanga Resort and Casino in the San Diego region.

A roundtable breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. with registration at 9:00 a.m. The first presentation of the day begins at 9:30 a.m. with guest speaker Carl Gerhardt, Chairman of Allegra Network, LLC. He will be addressing what the future holds for today’s small print companies.

Following is Laura Bruno, SBL Consulting, discussing the importance of building relationships to grow companies.

Lunch is scheduled with sponsors with an opportunity to visit table top displays provided by sponsors during and after lunch.

A human relations update will be presented by Katia Acosta-Smith, PIASC’s Human Resources Director. The next topic, “Why Workflow Matters”, will be presented by Roy Borchardt, Carlson Advisors, LLC.

The afternoon break is from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will be spent with sponsors. Following the break, Gerry Michael, Carlson Advisors, will present “Benchmarking & Key Economic Metrics” focusing on implementation and execution of initiatives within the print company industry.

In conclusion, door prizes will be raffled, followed by a reception with the sponsors.
