Dunkin’ Donuts to take a dip in the Southern California area

January 23, 2013 by

Dunkin’ Donuts, a coffee and donut chain famous throughout the United States announced earlier this month that it plans to expand into the Southern California area with multi-unit franchises.

Donut shops are expected to open in Riverside, Los Angeles, San Diego, Ventura, San Bernardino, and Orange County in just a couple of years. The expansion into the southern half of California is in an effort to meet with the company’s goal of having over 15,000 Dunkin’ Donuts locations across the United States.

Nigel Travis, President for Dunkin’ Donuts U.S. and CEO for Dunkin’ Brands, stated:

“We are delighted to begin 2013 with the long-awaited announcement that Dunkin’ Donuts will be opening restaurants in California.

“Expansion to California has always been part of our plan to grow Dunkin’ Donuts’ presence in the U.S.”

As nationally recognized food chains and other businesses expand into the area, printing companies nearby may be utilized for numerous advertising purposes and other printing services. Grand opening ceremonies are typically announced with banner printing and poster printing. Flyer printing or catalog printing might also be used in the weeks or months leading up to a grand opening in order to advertise special promotions and create customer anticipation of the opening.

Dunkin’ Donuts had around 15 store located throughout parts of California in the 1990s, but Michelle King, who is the Director of Global Marketing for the chain, reported that the time was not right for it. Last spring, the famous donut chain reopened its Camp Pendleton location in Oceanside, which was its first California location.
