D Dogs set to open in downtown Riverside

A new restaurant serving up gourmet hot dogs will soon be opening its doors to the public in downtown Riverside.

D Dogs is owned by business partners Laurie Brower and Darryl Hurt. The two restaurateurs purchased the building that previously housed the United Loan and Jewelry pawn shop. That business has relocated its operations to Indiana Avenue. The building, which measures 11,000 square feet, is located at 3557 University Avenue.

Businesses that move into an area or relocate to a new area often invest in the printing services of local print companies to help them get up and going and established in the location. Business card printing is often needed to reflect changes in contact information for businesses that relocate. In addition to business cards, new businesses may need a number of other services, such as banner printing for grand opening celebrations, or flyer printing to announce opening promotions and sales.

Laurie and Darryl are currently remodeling the building to reflect a modern industrial style. D Dogs will serve up a variety of salads, burgers, and gourmet hot dogs. The restaurant will also have 38 different beers on tap, 50 bottled beer varieties, and an extensive wine list.

Darryl Hurt is a retired police lieutenant who worked with the Riverside Police Department. He reported that D Dogs will be a family sports restaurant and will feature 13 television screens. The restaurant will seat 190 guests and the owners are hoping to open early in 2013.
