Hundreds turn out for a Taste of the Pier

The third annual Taste of the Pier was on Sunday, October 14 at the Redondo Beach Pier from noon until 6:00 am. Hundreds turned out for the event, which benefited two local organizations: The Cancer Support Community and the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to each of these organizations.

Those in attendance at the Taste of the Pier event enjoyed a variety of tastes from participating restaurants, live music, face painting, balloons, crafts and a whole lot more along the boardwalk and pier. Pier prize giveaways were also a part of the activity and visitors received one entry per every ten $1 tasting tickets they purchased. Establishments participating in the tasting activities included Great White Shark, The Boiling Shrimp, Quality Seafood, Pier, Tony’s on the Pier, and Sunshine Kite Company. A number of non-food retailers also participated in the Taste of the Pier event to offer a variety of discounts and goodies to attendees.

Events such as Taste of the Pier, in which a number of local businesses participate, may use business card printing to reach out to the crowds gathered at the activity and draw more business in. They may also utilize flyer printing or poster printing to advertise at the event.

The annual Taste of the Pier event was created in an effort to introduce people in the area to the various shops and restaurants lining the Redondo Beach Pier and the boardwalk.
