Annual Wildways Kickoff Party to highlight local businesses

January 23, 2013 by

The annual Wildways Kickoff Party is coming to Redding once again next month and Shasta Land Trust, which is hosting the event, will highlight local businesses, beer and wine, artists and food at the party.

Shasta Land Trust will serve Prather Ranch beef sliders with wild rice salad made from local rice. Entertainment will be provided by Pat Karch’s Jazz Quartet and wine and beer from local breweries and wineries will be featured at the no-host bar. Dozens of items have been donated by local businesses, artists, and crafters for a raffle and silent auction. Donated items include vacation getaways, handmade jewelry, birdhouses, chopping blocks, original paintings, and photographs.

Annual events such as the Shasta Land Trust’s Wildways Kickoff Party could draw in extra business for local printing companies. In addition to banner printing and other printing services required to advertise the activity, local business owners, artisans, and others participating in such activities may choose to use business card printing services so they can pass out contact information at the party and draw in extra customers to their individual businesses.

The event will kick off at 6:00 pm at the Redding Senior Citizens’ Hall at 2290 Benton Drive on Saturday, February 23. Tickets will be available after 9:00 am on Monday, February 4 at the Shasta Land Trust website or at its office. Tickets can also be obtained by calling 241-7886. The cost of tickets purchased in advance is $30, but they can also be purchased for $35 on arrival on the evening of the party.
