Workshop on workplace violence coming up

August 20, 2012 by

Rancho Cucamonga-based professionals have certainly had plenty to do this month. Between the recently held ‘Marketing Your Small Business’ and the upcoming ‘Avoiding Violence in the Workplace’ sessions, there has certainly been plenty of information up for grabs.

The Small Business Development Center has done its part for the month through the hosting of ‘Marketing Your Small Business’. Having taken place just last week, on August 16, at the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce, this morning workshop covered a number of relevant topics including the fundamentals of doing Market Research, targeting the company’s main market, defining the ideal client, putting together a marketing plan that works, and even the ways in which businesses can assess their competitors.

Whether a professional might be looking into the pros and cons of using outdoor banner printing in the next campaign or is simply considering a change from the usual style of business card printing, the content of this workshop equipped attendees with the information needed to make qualified decisions.

Those who were unable to put in an appearance at that particular workshop will still be able to attend ‘Avoiding Violence in the Workplace’ this Thursday, August 23. Also taking place in Rancho Cucamonga, this one begins at 9:00 am and goes for approximately two hours after that. Interestingly enough, this particular session is going to revolve primarily around the ways in which companies can implement effective policies with an eye towards preventing and quickly handling workplace violence.

If the ads are anything to go by, this event is going to be an informative one as well.
