The arts to take over Pleasanton’s streets this fall

September 25, 2017 by

There are two upcoming arts-related events taking place in Pleasanton this fall that should bring out plenty of visitors.

The first event will be the Antiques and Collectibles Faire. Over 400 dealers are expected to be on hand to sell their items that are of 20 years or older. These items will include items such as furniture, clothing, toys, and ephemera like postcards and posters. Steve Yvaska will be providing free appraisals on pieces brought in by the public.

The next week is set to feature Ignite! Art and Innovation; a free event is presented by the City of Pleasanton. It is designed to act as a creative forum and showcase for the arts in Pleasanton. Among the performers will be the Eden Aoba Taiko Drum Group and the Firelight Society. There will also be illuminated drones, a robot demo, and hands-on creative activities. In addition, several food trucks will be on hand.

Events like these are often advertised in the Pleasanton area using flyers and other printed materials.

The Antiques and Collectibles Faire will be held on Main Street on October 8 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Contact Jerry Goldman at 510-972-0613 for more information.

Ignite! Art and Innovation will take place outside of the Firehouse Arts Center on October 14 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. To learn more, call 925-931-4848.
