Pleasant Hill to get on the hunt

Early next month, there will be a chance to put a leash on the dog, grab the kids, and spend a fun afternoon while benefiting an area human society.

‘The Hunt Is On’ is an Easter egg hunt with a twist; dogs are included and it’s not just eggs that need finding, but bones as well. Taking place at Rogers Smith Park in Pleasant Hill, a variety of fun activities, including an egg and bone hunt, will form part of the fun.

Sure to be the subject of promotional poster printing, the event is being hosted by the Contra Costa Humane Society and money raised will benefit that organization. All dogs must be leashed to ensure everyone has a good time.

Activities will include arts and crafts for the kids, the option of having Easter pictures taken and lots of goodies to buy at the bake sale. Redeemable eggs can be traded for nominal sized prizes. Raffles will be held at the end of what promises to be a fun, relaxing day for all family members, including Fido.

It takes place on Sunday, April 6 and everyone is welcome. Admission is $5 per participant (child or dog), and for any two in a family the charge is $8. Registration begins at 1:45 pm and continues till 2:30 pm. The hunt is 2:35 pm – 3:30 pm and from 3:40 pm – 4:00 pm the raffle will take place and tickets can be redeemed.
