Oceanside to get two new breweries

There are plenty of reasons to raise a glass to Oceanside, as it is set to be home to two craft breweries in the very near future.

Bagby Beer brewery and Legacy Brewing both plan to open up in the coming months. Bagby Beer will be located at 601-617 South Coast Highway later in the year. Legacy Brewery, which intends to open up across town at 363 Airport Road on State Route 76, hopes to open up to the public by the middle of March.

New companies and businesses locating in and around the Oceanside area are likely to call upon local printing companies to provide a variety of printing services in the weeks or months before opening the doors to the public. Business card printing, flyer printing and poster printing are just a couple of the services likely to be needed. Banner printing is also popularly used by businesses for Grand Opening ceremonies and other events.

Jeff Bagby of the Bagby Beer brewery is a local brewer with a number of credentials. Bagby served as the head brewer for several years at Pizza Port and has been awarded a variety of national awards. The Bagby Beer brewery will feature a restaurant, bar, and tasting room and will be taking over the location of the former Saab dealership.

John Snyder, a partner of Legacy Brewing, plans to offer a variety of beers, including ambers, Scottish ales, and brown porter. Legacy Brewing will feature a tasting room and long-term goals are to open restaurants in the Oceanside area offering Legacy beers.
