Napa Valley stores turn pink

October 5, 2012 by

Stores in and around Napa are turning pink this month to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month across the world, so there is no better time than now to make a pink purchase at a Napa Valley location.

A number of local retailers, boutiques and other stores in the area are running special promotions and events to raise awareness about Breast Cancer. During the month of October, patrons can shop, eat and drink pink at almost every corner. Savvy shoppers in Napa and the surrounding areas may want to take this opportunity to snag a few good pink-hued discount items while supporting a good cause at the same time, with the Premium Outlets Pink Event offering discounts in various stores in exchange for a $10 donation. Promotions are going on in almost all of the outlet’s stores.

Special promotions, sales and other activities hosted by local businesses taking part in the pink activities may be advertised with poster printing or flyer printing. Banner printing could also be utilized to attract the attention of patrons or announce special activities and sales. Brochure printers may also be used by area businesses to further raise awareness within the community about the cause.

Glazer, who is the director of development for Young Survival Coalition (YSC), has issued a word of warning to shoppers that some products may carry pink ribbons as part of their decoration, or be pink in color, but do not contribute towards the scheme. It is therefore important to check product labels and tags or to consult the YSC’s website for a list of its partners.
