This month, Napa residents have the opportunity to visit a historic winery and sample delicious wines.

Beringer vineyards is hosting a ‘Winter Wander Walk Around Tasting’ where participants can visit four sampling areas for wine and food bites. In addition to the culinary delights, those at the event can learn about the vineyard’s history while touring the grounds.

Founded by Jacob Beringer and his brother, Frederick, Beringer Vineyard was one of the first wineries in Napa Valley. The historic property includes the Beringer Estate, Rhine House mansion, Hudson House, the old winery, and the tunnels. Overall, the grounds are rich with history. Additionally, the vineyard’s tried and true wine-making methods, combined with modern technology, have allowed it to produce globally renowned wines.

Beringer has eight different wine collections, including a private reserve label from the finest grapes, single vineyard varieties and a unique ‘Distinction Series’. The ‘Regional Estate’ collection showcases wines from different areas around California, while ‘Founder’s Estate’ varieties offer an everyday value. Classic and sparkling wines, ‘Modern Heritage’, and the ‘Los Hermanos’ collection round out the distinctive choices Beringer has to offer.

In order to publicize the event, the winery could consider using postcard printing services to create a direct mail postcard. An attractive piece could feature important details about the wine tasting event, along with some appealing pictures from the winery.

The event takes place January 18-19 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at Beringer Vineyards located at 2000 Main Street in St. Helena. Tickets cost $32 for non-members and $16 for club members. Call 866-708-9463 for more information.
