The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Nigel has been accepted as an exclusive member of the Haute Hotel Network.

This network features the best hotels, offering luxury amenities as judged by Haute Living magazine. The hotel offers a stunning view of the Orange County coastline from atop a 150 foot bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Nigel has received a five diamond status from AAA for 28 years in a row. The Haute Hotel Network selects only the top few resorts and hotels from the international and US markets. The hotel is located at One Ritz-Carlton Drive in Dana Point.

Another piece of news in the area is that for $18, residents of Laguna Nigel and their dogs can learn how to throw (in the case of the owners) and catch (the dogs) Frisbees. A $5 materials fee includes the cost of the Frisbee. The class also offers an introduction stunts, such as weaving between the owners legs and spins, as well as some introductory dance steps.

Owners need to bring their dogs shot records, clean up bags, and water. The class is offered by Dog Services Unlimited for dogs four months and older and for owners age 13 and older at Hidden Hills Park, 27802 Springwood, Laguna Niguel. Register through the city’s website.

Classes will be held on Sundays, beginning today (January 27). Residents who do not own a dog or wish to take the class can always enjoy a picnic in the park and watch the class from the sidelines. Flyers with dog tips can be passed out during class time and are easily created with the help of a local print company.
