Students and grant writers both stand to benefit from the workshop on ‘Writing a Successful Data Management Plan’, which will be held next week.

This workshop will teach participants the best way to use a data management plan to make figureseasier to analyze and protect. This information is important as many organizations require the use of data management plans as part of grant proposal submissions, including the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.

The workshop will include instruction on use of the DMPTool, and begins at noon on Wednesday, July 24, at the UCLA Biomedical Library in Los Angeles, just over 30 minutes from La Palma.

La Palma residents will have to choose between the data plan and the workshop on ‘What’s New in 2014’, as they both start at noon on Wednesday. This workshop will offer instruction on Autodesk’s newest software release, including navigation and cloud tools and mobile apps.

The workshop is presented by Microdesk and will be held at the ProGroup, 17731 Cowan in Irvine. Check in and lunch begins at 11:40 am and the presentation will be held from noon to 1:00 pm.
