Musical fans have the opportunity to see the ‘Wizard of Oz’ come to life this month. Andrew Lloyd Webber has taken the classical movie and updated it for the stage.

Using the familiar main characters, score, and screenplay, this adapted performance contains the heart of the original musical. However, viewers can expect a few modern updates such as spectacular special effects. In addition, the stage adaption contains both old and new songs, including some from Webber.

The all-star cast includes Danielle Wade as Dorothy and Lisa Horner as the wicked witch. Cedric Smith has taken on the role of the wizard.

‘Wizard of Oz’ fans in Orange County, including those in Placentia, are likely to be excited about this production. Brochure printers have probably been utilized to create playbills for the musical, allowing a way for guests to remember the performance.

The performances take place from February 11 to February 24. From Tuesday through Friday, shows will go on at 7:30 pm. On Saturday, performances will be at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. On Sunday, guests can enjoy the musical at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. Admission is between $25 and $99.50.
