Entertainment near Clovis this weekend includes an appearance from the musical group Richard Bean & Sapo in Fresno.

The San Francisco-based Latin rock ensemble is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Bean’s hit love song ‘Suavecito’. There will be a guest appearance by Raul Rekow, formerly of Sapo and now with Santana.

Hayward resident Bean wrote the song in 1972 and it became an iconic love song in the genre. Rekow plays the congas and has been with Santana for 35 years.

It takes place at 9:00 pm this Saturday, April 6, at the Fulton 55, 875 Divisadero Street, Fresno. The concert will open with local group Tortilla Soup. Admission is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For more information call (559) 412-7400.

Earlier in the day, visitors can join Urban Taste for a walking food adventure/tour of downtown Fresno. From 11:00 am, it will tour through food venues and discover art and architecture along the way. This is an opportunity to see downtown Fresno in a new light as the tour travels through historical buildings and venues not able to be seen from a car.

The cost is $35 online or $49 the day of the event. Walks are approximately two hours long so sturdy and comfortable shoes are recommended, and it is not recommended for children. Walkers can view historic buildings and chat with artists along the route, and local businesses might want to get some poster printing done so that walkers may spot their premises en route.
