The latest restaurant of Zareh Chahenian, the hospitality entrepreneur, is due to open on Valentine’s Day in the city of Burbank, California, with all sorts of entertainment on offer in its early days.

The opening night of ‘My Big Fat Greek’ restaurant will be celebrated with traditional Greek music, entertainment by Maria and Helena Michelis, and dancing. A percentage of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Family Service Agency in Burbank and Project Hope for Greece.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm, with City of Burbank and Burbank Chamber of Commerce officials presiding. In addition to the planned entertainment for the evening, there will be an all-day Happy Hour. The restaurant has pledged its support to local charities, with monthly fundraising events. This will be a part of a strategy to give back to the local community.

According to Chahenian, giving something back to the community which offers support is important. Chahenian has established restaurants in Canada, which are successful award winning Greek restaurants. However, he decided to relocate to California to experience the good weather. Chahenian is originally from Lebanon and is of Armenian heritage.

In addition to the Greek restaurant, there will also be a catering service available, in addition to being able to hire the venue for celebrations, film screenings, and corporate events. The opening ceremony will possibly be publicized using the local printing services of a print company. To promote other available services, like catering or venue hire, digital business cards may be used as a cost effective promotional tool.
