Members of the comedy troupe Broken Lizard will meet with fans for networking and a screening of their movie ‘Super Troopers’ at the start of next week, offering an opportunity for current and future screenwriters to talk and network with actual working screenwriters and other creative people.

Kevin Heffernant co-writes and stars in the movie, and his other works include ‘Puddle Cruiser’,, ‘Beerfest’, and ‘Club Dread’. His pal Paul Soter was also in the above movies and has also directed the feature films ‘Dark Circles’, and ‘Watching the Detectives’.

The meeting begins on Monday, September 9 at 7:00 pm. The venue, The Cat & Fiddle, is located at 6530 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles – only about 25 minutes from Brentwood.

Staying on the theme of meeting people and making impressions, a seminar on getting a foot in the door of large companies is taking place at the same time as the movie at the CoLoft in Santa Monica.

The seminar is 90 minutes long and will give participants clear steps that they can take to make things happen and overcome the strive to get noticed experienced by many jobseekers.

Leading the seminar is Brandon Kleinman, who has been in the marketing field for 10 years and has worked as a consultant for Disney and Chiat/Day.

The CoLoft is located at 920 Santa Monica Boulevard in Santa Monica. Digital business cards are an excellent way to make contact and stay in touch with important business contacts at events like this.
