Locals to spring into green cleaning

April 24, 2017 by

Spring cleanup time is here in Butler, and an area event will teach locals how they can use essential oils to help them get their homes spick and span safely.

The Spring Green Cleaning With Essential Oils workshop will provide attendees with information they can use to craft cleaning products that are safe for people, pets and the environment. The ingredients used will be natural as well as non-toxic, and many of them are plant derived.

The first portion of the workshop will be dedicated to teaching about the ingredients, as well as the recipes and how to use them. During the second part, those who come out will have an opportunity to engage in hands-on learning by creating their own bottle of multi-purpose cleaning spray. Light refreshments, including a specially blended spring tea, will also be served. The admission price for the evening will be $10 each. Digital copying can be used by the organizer of an event like this to create copies of the different formulations that are taught during the teaching portion of the day.

The event will take place at Nicolette’s Specialty Gifts and Goodies, which is located at 1263 Perry Highway in Portersville, on May 16. Anyone who is interested in learning more about making this year’s spring cleaning a more environmentally friendly one is asked to RSVP at 724-368-1100 or Nicolette@zoominternet.net.
