Burnsville area event to shine a light on Lyme’s

This spring, Burnsville residents will have an opportunity to learn how they can protect themselves from Lyme disease while they are having fun in the great outdoors.

The awareness raising event, which is being hosted by the Mall of America in Bloomington, will nude an assortment of activities that have been designed to be both fun and educational. Brochure printing and other services for this type of occasion can be provided by a local printer.

The first floor of the mall with be full of displays and interactive learning opportunities that will educate the public about Lyme and other tick-borne diseases. Babe Winkleman, who is a Minnesota resident and TV personality, will kick off the day, and there will be live music, presentations, balloon animals and body art for the kids, and many other opportunities to learn how to stay safe while still having fun outdoors.

Those who come out are encouraged to wear lime green attire, and all are welcome. Registration starts at 7:00 am, and the advance ticket price is $10 for adults. Children will be admitted free of charge, and there will be special gifts for the first 500 adults and 100 kids who check in.

The Lyme Awareness Fair will be held on May 5, and it will run from 7:00 am until 9:30 am. Anyone who would like to find out more has been invited to visit the Minnesota Lyme Association’s website.
