The music ensembles of the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in Bradenton, Florida will be hosting a ‘Holiday Joy’ concert early in December in honor of Hanukkah and Christmas.

Holiday Joy will be opening with the concert choir and the chamber choir, and they will be performing ‘Shalom Chaverim’, ‘A Chanukah Dreidel’, and ‘Tomorrow Shall be My Dancing Day’. The next portion of the concert will feature the guitar ensemble, who will be playing ‘Allegro’ and other classic carols. The event will conclude with the SCF symphony orchestra and the choirs joining each other and performing pieces such as ‘Gloria’ and ‘Feast of Carols’. The ‘Feast of Carols’ piece will be a medley of pieces such as ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’.

The concert will be taking place at the college’s Neel Performing Arts Center on December 1 at 8:00 pm. Those who purchase tickets online prior to the event will be able to attend a reception and music discussion that will be taking place at 6:30 pm on the same day. This reception will be held in the Fine Art Gallery, which is adjacent to the Neel Performing Arts Center.
