Creek clean up planned for Boulder

Residents of Boulder are invited to show some love to its watercourses by participating in the Bolder Creek Cleanup and Cookout.

The activity, which is being hosted by Rock Mountain Anglers, will see volunteers donning gloves and picking up trash tongs, bags and even hip waders that will be provided. The participants will pick up trash and other debris from Boulder Creek, which will help to make it a positive habitat for fish and other wildlife.

Once the clean up is over, those who come out will be treated to a barbecue where they can spend time with other participants. There will also be prizes awarded for those who pick up the largest amount of trash and also the most unique piece that was picked up. Newsletter printing can be utilized to help keep the public abreast of events such as this that have been planned for their local community.

This day of environmental stewardship has been planned for April 1st , with those who will be participating gathering beforehand at 1904 Arapahoe Ave. It is free to participate, and the organizers hope that as many people as possible will come out and lend their efforts a helping hand.
