Boulder children to greet spring with special parade

February 3, 2017 by

The city of Boulder will once again be bidding spring a warm welcome with its traditional Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival.

The community’s downtown core will play host to the procession of young elves and fairies, and will be led by the brightly costumed Tulip Fairy. They will wind their way through the Pearl Street Mall, welcoming its more than 15,000 blooming tulips as they go.

Along with the parade, the children will be able to participate in an assortment of games, face painting, and other activities. The will also be live music and other entertainment to enjoy. The kids who plan on taking part are encouraged to come wearing their fairy or elf wings and costume. Those who plan events such as this can make use of printers’ graphic design services to create logos, promotional products, and other marketing items.

April 2 has been selected as this year’s date for this well-loved Boulder rite of spring, with its rain date being set as April 9. It will be held in Pearl Street Mall from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm, and all local families are welcome to bring along their children and join in the fun. There is no charge to participate, and preregistration is not required.
