Sports Basement to host 4th annual Brew Fest

The Sports Basement in Berkeley will hold its annual Brew Fest event this year. All proceeds from the event support Bike East Bay, which is an organization that promotes accessible, innovative, and safe bicycling for the community.

Each year, a handful of breweries support the event by providing tastings of their brews. This year’s participating breweries include Headlands, Drakes, Strike, Sierra Nevada, Buck Wild, and Lagunitas, with each boasting a colorful logo design to advertise their brews.

Attendees can sample these brews with unlimited tastings. The event will also feature bar snacks and games.

The Sports Basement is located in the Bay area and has seven locations. All employees are active in the community and use the products they sell. They promote not only a retail store, but also a community center where people can hang out.

Attendees at the Brew Fest will be given 20% off any purchase made during the event. The retailer also offers a ‘Basementeer Program’ which is free to join and entitles members 10% off any time they shop. Free education classes are also offered on subjects like cycling safety.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the store’s Berkeley location, 2727 Milvia Street. Doors open at 3:00 pm and the event goes until 6:00 pm. Tickets are available through Eventbrite for $7 plus a processing fee, and could sell out, so attendees are urged to purchase theirs as soon as possible.
