Berkeley residents invited to attend local bay festival

March 9, 2017 by

Those who live in the community of Berkeley are invited to come and spend a day of fun by the bay.

People of all ages are invited to come out to the Berkeley Bay Festival and take part in the activities that will be set up for the day. There will be live music playing, and the public will have an opportunity to take a free sail or dragon boat ride, enjoy the food that will be available, and browse through the Berkley Marina.

Different community service groups and other organizations will have booths and other displays set up for the day where people can find out more about what their local community has to offer. They can pick up a special passport that they can have stamped by each of the exhibitors they visit, which will help them to get the most from taking part in the event. A printer will be able to supply the organizers of community-based events with customized promotional products such as these.

The Berkeley Bay Festival will run from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm on April 8 at the Shorebird Park Nature Center. The public is invited to participate on a free of charge basis, and anyone who is interested in finding out more has been asked to contact Patty Donald at 981-6720 for additional details.
