Kids invited to explore Something’s Fishy in Bend

December 10, 2016 by

Kids from Bend and the surrounding areas are invited to enjoy a day camp that will teach them everything they ever wanted to know about fish.

The Something’s Fishy kid’s day camp will focus on species such as the sturgeon and trout, as well as sharks and other fish that live much further away. Campers will learn about the physical structure of these animals and how each has adapted to its specific habitat. There will also be hands on activities, crafts, tours of the facility, games, and much more. Each session will be led by a trained instructor who will work with a trained assistant to deliver the programming. A print company can supply items like promotional pens and other customized pieces that can be given to each of the kids who take part.

The Something’s Fishy day camp will be held at the High Desert Museum on January 15th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. The price for members is $40.00, while for non-members, it’s $45.00. Both morning and afternoon extended care available for those who need it. It is geared to children who are able to be without their parents for the day. Each child should bring along a bagged lunch and snacks, and come dressed in clothing appropriate for the weather conditions on that day. Further details are available on The High Desert Museum’s website.
