Bend fundraiser to help support local therapy programming

Children and adults alike with physical, developmental, and cognitive delays, as well as those experiencing mental health issues or involved an emotional crisis, can often benefit from equine therapy. Bend’s Diamonds and Dust fundraiser will help to support a local organization that provides this service.

Those who come to the gala occasion will be treated to a meal prepared by Bleu Bird Catering using locally sourced ingredients, as well as an assortment of wines, beers, and even a signature cocktail. Both live and silent auctions are on the agenda for the evening, and the Bend Photo Lounge will have a booth set up on site to capture all the fun.

Guests for the function are reminded to wear their dancing shoes or boots, as there will be plenty of music, and there will even be line dancing instruction for those who need some extra help. According to the organizers, the funds raised will be used to help support its efforts, and last year, it was able to provide services to more than 5,400 people. A local printer can supply any presentation folders to give to each of the guests of an event like this so they can see how their contribution is making a difference.

The Diamonds and Dust gala will take place on September 9th at 60575 Billadeau Road in Bend. Further details can be found on its Chamber of Commerce’s website.
