Arboriculture business symposium scheduled for Bend

March 3, 2018 by

Bend business people who own or operate an arboriculture or other company in the horticultural field may wish to save he date for an event that has been planned with them in mind.

The Riverbend Community Room will be the location for the Small Business Best Practices for Tree Care Companies conference, which will be facilitated by Scott Clifton. Mr. Clifton has many years of experience in the field, and is an I.S.A. Certified Arborist.

The symposium will address a variety of topics that can help a tree care company become successful. It will start on the ground floor by sharing tips about setting up the business, and details about insurance, selecting business advisors, and hiring employees will also be shared. The applicable laws and regulations will be discussed, as will pricing, marketing, staff safety and also networking and building relationships with other companies in the horticultural industry.

The agenda for the day includes time for networking and sharing best practices, and there will also be an open forum where the attendees can ask questions. The registration fee for the event starts at $180.00, and a discounted price is on offer for any students who choose to attend. A local printer can supply business card printing services for anyone who would like to have some of these to exchange with those they meet during the networking and other sessions.

The conference will be held on May 11th. Anyone who is interested in finding out more can do so through the Pacific Northwest ISA website.
