Upcoming fundraisers help the community

February 14, 2017 by

There are two fundraisers taking place this month that will benefit two important Bellingham charities.

The first one, which has just sold out, is the Light in the Night Gala, which raises funds for the Lighthouse Mission Drop in Center. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and dessert. There will be a photo booth, stories from mission guests, and a silent auction. In addition, Dancing for Joy will perform and there will be a speech from Ray Bakke. A waiting list is available for people who wish to attend.

The next evening is the 8th annual Red Carpet Affair, which is a benefit for the Pickford Film Center Education Fund. Guests will enter on a red carpet where their pictures will be taken, and they will then be treated to hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and dessert. The main event of the evening will be the live streaming of the Academy Awards.

To advertise charity events such as these, Bellingham stationery printing companies are often asked to provide invitations or flyers.

The Light in the Night Gala will be held at Settelmyer Hall at Bellingham Technical College on February 25 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Tickets are $45 each. Call Jessica at 360-671-1562 to learn more.

The Red Carpet Affair will take place at the Pickford Film Center on February 26 from 4:30 to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $50 for members and $65 for nonmembers. For more information, call 360-647-1300.
