Bellerose goes to the festival

June 7, 2017 by

June means summer and that means time to mark our calendars for the Gregorian Summer Festival. This will be 11 nights of rides, games, prizes, live entertainment and gourmet food.

As always, the festival will start with a parade and although everyone is invited to attend on any night each night is dedicated to a specific international group. For example, the first night is called bellerose and Indian Night. The following Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be Irish Nights. Monday will be Filipino Night and Tuesday will be Polish Night. German Nights will be Wednesday and Thursday, and the last three evenings will be Italian Nights.

There will be two food tents. The Main Food Tent will offer the usual summer fare – hot dogs, cotton candy and Italian ice, etc. The International Food Tent will have treats associated with the night’s theme- Irish, Filipino, Polish, German and Italian.

The P.O.P. (pay one price for all the rides) will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This price will include the Swinger, Paratroopers, Ferris wheel, Dizzy Dragon, Roundup, Pharao’s Fury, Merry go round and the slide. The Circus Train and the air show are also included.

The St. Gregory The Great Festival will run from June 15th through June 25th at the intersection of Cross Island Parkway and 87th Avenue. Bellerose. Gates will open at 7 pm and close at 11 pm.
