Public invited to special Mirror Lake Park evening

January 16, 2017 by

Friends of Mirror Lake have organized a Baraboo area event that will bring a touch of warmth to a cold winter night.

The group will be hosting a Candlelight Hike, Ski and Snowshoe evening. Guests will be able to ski, walk or snowshoe along the one mile long trails while they enjoy the flickering light provided by the torches that will light the way. At the end of the route, there’ll be a chance to warm up around one of the roaring bonfires while they sip a hot drink, share treats and socialize with friends old and new.

The evening’s activities are being offered free of charge, but those who wish to participate will need to have a valid 2017 Wisconsin State Park Admission Sticker, which can be purchased at the park’s office ahead of time. A goodwill donation to help the organization in its effort to support the park will be appreciated, though it is not required. An organization like this can have brochures printed that explain what it is and what it does, which can be given away during special public events.

The candlelight hike, ski and snowshoe event has been planned for February 4th in the beach area of Mirror Lake State Park and will run from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Additional details can be obtained by visiting the Friends of Mirror Lake website.
